Meet the nominated Moms!

Amy’s Mom – Tia

“My mom completely deserves this pampering because she somehow manages to be a wonderful mom to myself and my three siblings, and the school-mom to all of Shamrock Springs as the school nurse. She loves to giggle, bake, read, and watch Gilmore Girls or Downton Abbey. She also is known for her famous chocolate chip cookies, and so for all the loving she gives to others, she deserves some love back!”

Claire’s Mom – Karen

“This is my momma and her three girls. My mom is my best friend and I can tell her anything and I’m so blessed to have such a close relationship with her. She deserves this Mother’s Day package for many reasons. Her job is being a mom. She raises four kids, me and my two sisters and my little brother Henry who suffers from cerebral palsy. She never has more than five minutes to herself in between watching us and catering to our needs. As a thank you to her for being the best mom ever and the best friend ever I would love for her to have this experience.”

Emma’s Mom – Jennifer

“I believe that my mom deserves the Mother’s Day award because she is the best mom that I could ask for! She always helps me when I’m trying to reach my goals, especially in horse back riding! My mom has always been there to watch me at a horse show and yell “go sweetie” every time I enter the ring and she has yet to miss a horse show whether it’s been in Indianapolis or New Mexico, I can always count on her being there to support me! Not only does she support me but she is always there for my brother to watch his football games even when they’re multiple hours away! Even though we get in little fights, like all teenage girls do with their mothers, I always know that my mom is there to have my back even when it seems like no one is! And she is always there to make me laugh especially when I’m mad or sad! My mom also watches Gossip Girl with me, which really makes her the best mother! I want her to know how much she is loved just like she shows me how much I am!”

Halee’s Mom – Patti

“My mom is, in my opinion, the best mom in the world. She always puts others first and makes sure they have everything they need. She works multiple jobs and is always running from one thing to the next.  She definitely deserves a break from the rush of day-to-day life. I know she’ll always love me, even when my room gets messy or I’m arguing with my brother. No matter what, I know she’ll always be there for me.”

Rachel’s Mom – Debbie

“My mother is the strongest, most loving, compassionate, and selfless person I know. Her second priority (her first being her relationship with Christ) is her family. She always puts the needs (or wants) of her five children and husband before her own. She encourages us and helps us learn/strengthen our character daily, in the most loving way. She deserves this Mother’s Day gift because she does so much for her kids and I want her to have a little something in return.”

Kelsey’s Mom – Denise

“I chose the picture attached of me and my Mom since she has supported me through so many things over the years, choir being one of those things. My mom deserves a great pampering for Mother’s Day because she is always one to put others before herself, and has been more than an amazing person and role model in my life. When I said I wanted my senior pictures at SGH, she agreed and we are both so glad how they turned out. I think that she would appreciate a great gift to celebrate her day.”

Such Great Happenings: Heritage Beauty & The Beast

Last night I attended Heritage Christian’s Beauty & The Beast Opening Night. There were eight Such Great Heights seniors involved with the musical and it was amazing!!! Seriously, I was so impressed. Almost all of the costumes were made by a high school student which blew me away. The voices of the actors and actresses were beautiful. Here are a couple of shots of the SGH seniors involved. You can see a full set of photos from the night on Facebook.

Grace was part of the music on the pit. I didn’t get a picture of Hannah who was on the crew helping out.

Abby was part of the pit as well.

Jessie was Belle and Kaitlin was one of the napkins and villagers.

Ashley was Mrs. Potts.

Alexa and Rachel were plates and villagers too.
